EDUCATING

The 10/27 Museum & Education Center

A place that tells the story of antisemitism in America and equips visitors with the tools and confidence to take action to stand against hate in their own communities.

Designed by Ralph Applebaum in collaboration with Tree of Life’s Academic Advisory Council of leading historians, scholars, and museum professionals.

Beginning with the story of what happened at the Tree of Life and the collective response of the Pittsburgh community, visitors will learn about antisemitism from its historical roots to its modern-day manifestations in the United States.

Educate.

Through film, survivor testimony, personal stories, artifacts, and other interactive exhibitions, visitors will understand how Jewish Americans experience antisemitism and how to recognize and call out hate and antisemitism in daily life.

As part of our work to change attitudes and counter antisemitism, students from middle school through college, educators, and leaders across industries will have access to innovative curricula and experiential learning opportunities.

The Tree of Life is also the new home of the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, providing educational opportunities that connect the lessons of the Holocaust and antisemitism with injustices of today.
