Olivia Scanlon

Chief Advancement Officer

Olivia Scanlon serves as the chief advancement officer at The Tree of Life, where she leads the comprehensive campaign to support rebuilding and reimagination of the Tree of Life site, program development and ensuring its financial sustainability. Olivia is a development professional with leadership and management experience specializing in major donor fundraising and special events.

She has spearheaded transformative initiatives across various sectors, from political campaigns to public-private partnerships to mission-based nonprofits. Throughout her career, she has cultivated meaningful relationships with stakeholders, exceeded fundraising goals, and championed causes that make a tangible difference in communities.

Prior to joining The Tree of Life, she worked at CCS, a strategic fundraising consulting firm, where she partnered with nonprofits to raise their profiles and expand their reach. She previously served as the sole fundraiser for the PHL COVID-19 Fund, Philadelphia’s unified emergency response fund. Additionally, she worked with the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey to launch the Philadelphia Poverty Action Fund, in partnership with the Philadelphia City Council, securing public and private funds for proven poverty-alleviating interventions. She has also worked in finance and management roles on various local, state and national political campaigns.

Outside of work, Olivia serves as a founding member of the Young Friends Advisory Council of the Philadelphia Orchestra. She is a graduate of New York University and proud Teach for America alumnae (GNO ‘13).
